The largest mural in the world will be destroyed due to forthcoming major repairs to the aging Arkansas River levee in Pueblo, Colorado. Built following the deadly 1921 flood, the levee needs to meet post-Hurricane Katrina flood insurance requirements. Local artists and community leaders are looking at ways to preserve portions of the mural which covers most of the 2.8 mile long levee
