The Radio Television Digital News Association selected KRCC’s “Railroad West” series as the winner of the 2015 Region 3 Edward R. Murrow Award in the “Continuing Coverage” category for small market radio stations. This series focused on Colorado’s possible loss of Amtrak’s Southwest Chief route and included work by multiple reporters overseen by KRCC news director Andrea Chalfin.
