KRCC News picked up a third honor earlier this month for “Railroad West,” a series reporting on Colorado’s possible loss of Amtrak’s Southwest Chief route. The Associated Press Television and Radio Association selected the project for the “Best Coverage of an Ongoing Story Award of Excellence” for Class 2 radio stations in the Western Region.
The project also won awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association and the Colorado Broadcasters Association. It included stories by multiple reporters and was overseen by KRCC news director Andrea Chalfin.
