Rocky Mountain Survival Expert On Staying Alive The Way Early Humans Did

Imagine getting dropped into the African wilderness with nothing but the clothes on your back. That’s what survival experts Cat Bigney and Bill Schindler do on the National Geographic Channel’s new show called “The Great Human Race.”

The show follows Bigney and Schindler as they travel through history along migration routes that eventually brought humans from Africa to North America. The two lived like our ancestors did millions of years ago. Bigney says growing up in the Rocky Mountain West helped prepare her for this.

She spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner on Colorado Public Radio. Listen to their conversation and see photos and video clips at cpr.org
