Troubled Horses And Broken Humans Help Each Other At Alternative Prison Ranch

Seven years ago professional horse trainer Ginger Gaffney got an unusual call for help. An alternative prison ranch near her northern New Mexico home had horse troubles. Troubles like she’d never seen before. She’s written about it in her new memoir “Half Broke.”

Ginger Gaffney and Ayla Jarvis, a former resident of the ranch, talk with the host of Colorado Matters about their experiences at the ranch and in life. You can listen to their conversation during the second half hour of the Colorado Matters podcast.
