How Colorado Women Answered The Call Of World War II

The attack on Pearl Harbor 79 years ago brought World War II to American soil. In short order, thousands of Colorado women joined the war effort — by enlisting in the military, working in defense plants, and volunteering in all sorts of ways. Denver historian Gail Beaton shares their stories in her book, “Colorado Women in World War II.”
